ASRgenomics: Genomic Data
Analysis Software
FREE tool to help you explore and prepare your phenotypic and genomic datasets ready for analysis using any R packages.
Your Free Companion Tool for Genomic Analysis in R
ASRgenomics is a FREE tool developed by VSNi to help you explore and prepare your phenotypic and genomic datasets ready for analysis using any R packages. The tool presents a series of molecular and genetic routines to assist in analytical pipelines before and after the use of ASReml-R or another R library tool that performs analyses such as Genomic Selection (GS) and/or Genome-Wide Association Studies (GWAS).
Features of ASRgenomics
- Preparing/exploring pedigree/phenotypic data
- Preparing/exploring genomic data
- Complementing genomic breeding values
New ASRgemomics update for 2022
- New options have been incorporated for quality control and filtering of SNP matrices, such as heterozygosity, inbreeding, and pruning, to name a few.
- Graphical improvements with more options, control and faster plots.
- ASRgenomics has a new ‘pruning’ function to eliminate markers that are in high linkage disequilibrium (LD) improving the quality and stability of the estimation of the genomic matrix, among others.
- A new function in ASRgenomics generates molecular data from hypothetical crosses (based on genomic information from the parents) has been incorporated. This function allows you to generate genomic data for offspring without marker information.
- Several algorithms have been improved in ASRgenomics offering faster processing times and less memory use.
ASReml-R is powerful statistical software specially designed for mixed models using Residual Maximum Likelihood (REML) to estimate the parameters in an R environment. Linear mixed effects models provide a rich and flexible tool for the analysis of many data sets commonly arising in animal, plant and aqua breeding, agriculture, environmental sciences and medical sciences.
How to download
ASRgenomics is free and is only available to download via the ASReml Knowledge Base. The perfect partner for ASReml-R it can be also used alongside any suitable R library tool.
